PORN star Emily Willis’ family has shared a heartbreak update revealing the adult actress is now battling for her life in a coma.
Willis, 25, was first admitted to the hospital on February 5 after being found unresponsive at a celebrity rehab facility in Malibu, California.
However, since being hospitalized, her condition has worsened, Michael Willis, the adult star’s stepfather, told TMZ.
The porn actress, born Litzy Lara Banulos, is on a ventilator to assist with her breathing, the outlet reported.
“Emily remains in a vegetative coma and is fighting for her life,” her brother, also named Michael, said on a GoFundMe post.
“We have been by her side as she slowly tries to recover, but it will be a challenging journey ahead.”
TMZ previously reported, citing sources, that Willis suffered an apparent overdose.
But, her brother debunked the reports that doctors told the family that an early toxicology screen came back negative.
“Regarding the reports of an overdose, we want to clarify that they are not accurate as far as the doctors and my family know,” the younger Michael wrote on the fundraiser post.
“Emily was receiving the treatment and help she needed at the time of the incident to overcome her struggles.”
Her brother said she had retired from the porn industry nearly two years ago and had “aspirations to succeed in other fields of entertainment.”
He added, “Those who worked with her on her new career path knew she had the potential to achieve her dreams.”
Willis, who first entered the adult industry in October 2017, appeared in over 700 porn films and scenes.
Her accolades include three XBIZ Awards, a NightMoves Award, and an XRCO Award.
PORN TRAGEDY
On January 24, the adult industry mourned the loss of actress porn starJesse Jane, who was found dead along with her boyfriend, Brett Hasenmueller, inside a home in Moore, Oklahoma, about 11 miles south of Oklahoma City.
Police conducted a welfare check at Hasenmueller’s home, where they found the pair dead, TMZ reported at the time.
Then, on February 19, porn star Kagney Linn Karter was found dead in her home in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, an urban county in Cleveland.
A family friend of Karter’s shared on a GoFundMe post that the adult star struggled with mental health issues.
